Beyonce Knowles and Lady GaGa Among Performers at 2009 MTV VMAs
Audience at 2009 MTV Video Music Awards, which was held on Sunday night, September 13 at New York City's Radio City Music Hall, have been entertained by live performances from some top-notch singers. Beyonce Knowles took the stage to perform her hit "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)", the music video of which won her three prizes during the event.

Then, Lady GaGa made an unusual performance as she sported fake blood while singing her single "Paparazzi". Wearing a white dress matched with white knee-boots, the singing sensation began her performance with a few lines from "Poker Face". Beside her and Beyonce, Taylor Swift made her performance outside the building as she took to the city's subways and streets to sing her song "You Belong with Me."

Also rocking the venue were British band Muse, who sang their song "Uprising". As the closing performance of the show, Jay-Z teamed up with Alicia Keys to make a powerful performance while they sang the rapper's track "Empire State of Mind".
