A and E have announced that they plan to honor the life of late actor Patrick Swayze on Wednesday night, September 16 with on-air tribute, which includes a marathon of his TV series 'The Beast'.
A&E have announced that they will dedicate a day for late
Patrick Swayze, who passed away on Monday, September 14 after battling pancreatic cancer for about 20 months. The television network has just issued a press release which mentioned, "In light of the tragic passing of beloved actor Patrick Swayze, A&E will honor his memory on Wednesday night, September 16 th."
Starting from 2:00 P.M. EST/PST to 6:00 P.M. EST/PST, a marathon of "The Beast" will be aired by A&E. Then, at 10:00 P.M. EST/PST the television network will broadcast the special presentation of "Bio Remembers: Patrick Swayze", before then followed by an encore showing of "The Beast" at 11:00 P.M. EST/PST.
"We are saddened by the loss of one of our generation's greatest talents and a member of the A&E family," Bob DeBitetto, President & General Manager of A&E Network said in the statement. "Patrick's work on 'The Beast' was an inspiration to us all. He will be greatly missed and our thoughts are with his wife Lisa and his entire family during this difficult time."
