A source backstage at 61st Annual Primetime Emmys Awards has shot down report of Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Karina Smirnoff fighting during the event, calling the news 'a fabrication'.

Karina Smirnoff during 2009 Primetime Emmy Awards has been debunked. "I was backstage with Karina yesterday and this story is a fabrication," a source tells Radar Online.
Additionally, another source claims the couple at that time argued about their dance, but their disagreement was "all a creative difference" and not because Maksim felt impatient to wait Karina fixing her hair and make-up. "It's not true. They were debating making a last minute change to their performance. They were debating so it may have sounded heated and angry, but it wasn't ... They were not fighting about hair and makeup," the source tells .
In the wake of 61st Annual Primetime Emmys Awards on Sunday, September 20, E! Online reported that Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Karina Smirnoff exchanged some heated words before and after performing together at the awards show. "They were going at it, screaming at each other. He said she was taking too long in hair and makeup. It got kind of loud," an insider said of the ex-lovers, who called off their engagement earlier this month.
