Cam Gigandet Set to Date Christina Aguilera on 'Burlesque'

Cam Gigandet has been announced as a new cast member for 2010 movie "Burlesque". On the upcoming Steve Antin-directed flick, the "Twilight" star will have a special relationship with Christina Aguilera, who is going to debut her acting career by getting involved in the movie's production.

"Christina and I meet, fall in love, and drama ensues," Gigandet tells MTV. "I am a struggling piano player, and I'm currently working as a bartender at Cher's burlesque club," the movie star continues detailing on his character.

Talking about the flick, which is planned to be released in U.S. theaters on November 24, Gigandet states, "It's about a girl from the Midwest who moves out to Los Angeles to pursue her career as a singer." Later, he adds, "Obviously, it's Christina Aguilera, so she has an amazing voice. She finds a club run by Cher, a burlesque club. And she takes it to a whole new level and, of course, meets me - the love of her life."

Asked whether or not he will duet with Aguilera on the movie, which production will be started in December, the 26-year-old actor quickly responds, "Oh right, a duet with me and Christina?" Then, he answers, "That would be like Kermit the Frog and Christina. I can't sing."
