Executive producers for 'Melrose Place' have confirmed that Heather Locklear will return to the show to reprise her character as Amanda Woodward.
Executive producers for TV series "Melrose Place" have announced on Tuesday, September 22 that
Heather Locklear will return to the show. "We're ecstatic to have the chance to bring Amanda Woodward back to 'Melrose Place,' " Todd Slavkin and Darren Swimmer said in a statement.
"Heather's involvement in the show is something we've been working on for some time as we couldn't imagine creating and producing this show without the iconic character's inclusion," Todd and Darren continued. According to Access Hollywood, the 47-year-old beauty's first appearance is scheduled to be on the November 17 episode of the hit CW show.
In August, Daphne Zuniga mentioned that she was very excited about the possibility of her co-star Heather Locklear returning to "Melrose Place", saying "No one is Heather. Nobody. The new [b**** on the show], I think her name is Ella, she's lovely, she's great as being a b****, but nobody is Heather Locklear as far as that goes." Daphne herself has signed on to reprise her character as Jo Reynolds on two episodes of the drama series.
Additionally,
Katie Cassidy, who stars as a new blonde cutthroat named Ella Sims, stated she would happily welcome Heather on the show's set. "I think it's great. Heather Locklear is amazing and we would be more than thrilled," Katie claimed.
The daughter of senior actor
David Cassidy, moreover, thought there would possibly catfights between her character and Heather's. "They're both business women. I think there could be some really fun material happening there. It would be an honor to have her on. So hopefully ... We'll see," Katie noted.
