CW has announced that Mischa Barton's 'The Beautiful Life: TBL' is pulled off the schedule following two weeks of ugly ratings.
Mischa Barton is likely to lose one of her projects this fall. Her TV series "The Beautiful Life: TBL" has been canceled by CW, after its two episodes have been aired. The show that was produced by
Ashton Kutcher was pulled off the schedule following two weeks of ugly ratings. The September 16 premiere scored only 1.4 million viewers, while its latest episode was seen by just 1 million viewers.
Before canceling the
Corbin Bleu-starring series, the TV network has picked up a pair of unscripted shows, "Fly Girls" and an untitled series about socialite Tinsley Mortimer, which were said to replace the "The Beautiful Life: TBL". However, the two new shows will not be ready by next Wednesday, when another episode of the drama series was initially supposed to be aired. Later, CW announced that a repeat encore of "Melrose Place" will fill the Wednesday 9:00 P.M. vacant slot.
"The Beautiful Life: TBL", which revolves around a troubled model, Sonja Stone, portrayed by Mischa Barton, has had some troubles even before the show began to be aired. The lead actress was hospitalized in July because of emotional exhaustion. The health issue of the star then caused a delay in the production of the series.
