Despite his bad behavior during 2009 MTV Video Music Awards, Lady GaGa says Kanye West is a great musician and she wants people to stop judging him.
Many celebrities have slammed
Kanye West after he interrupted
Taylor Swift's acceptance speech during 2009 MTV Video Music Awards on September 13. However,
Lady GaGa has different opinion about the rapper, with whom she is going to embark on a tour together.
"I can tell you that he's very sorry, and he made a mistake, and he knows it..." GaGa told The Canadian Press during an interview conducted over the telephone when she was in Virginia. She then asked people to stop criticizing West, saying "He has a tremendous effect on everybody's lives and I think it's unfair to judge a person by one thing that they said."
GaGa, additionally, tried to remind everyone that despite the accident at the annual musical award event, West is still a great musician. "But at the end of the day, he is a pioneer in hip-hop music, and he changed what hip-hop music means," the songstress claimed. "And I think that it's time for everyone to kind of take their heads out of the newspapers and remember that, in truth, Kanye's making most of the music we hear on the radio today."
