'Friends' actor Matt LeBlanc is going to get his new TV show as he has signed in to play himself in new sitcom entitled 'Episodes'.
After his comedy series "Joey" was canceled by NBC in May 2006,
Matt LeBlanc is going to star on new TV series. The actor, whose name is famous through his portrayal of Joey Tribbiani in hit NBC show "Friends", has signed a deal to appear in new Showtime sitcom entitled "Episodes".
Matt is set to star as himself in the single-camera comedy series about a British couple, whose hit U.K. show is turned into a dumbed-down American sitcom. The actor recently commented on his involvement in the project, saying "I love it. And I am so glad I got the part-seeing someone else play Matt LeBlanc would have been devastating."
In "Episodes", "Friends" creator David Crane and "Mad About You" producer Jeffrey Klarik, who have teamed up in sitcom "The Class", will work together once again. Talking about the creators of the upcoming show, Matt LeBlanc stated, "Jeffrey and David have a great idea-I love it." The shooting of its six episodes will be kicked off in London and Hollywood this winter, while the series itself will be aired both on the U.S. Showtime and the U.K. BBC Two in 2010.
