Brian Littrell has apologized to fans because his band Backstreet Boys have to cancel some of their upcoming appearances after he has been diagnosed with swine flu.

Backstreet Boys have announced that they cancel some of their upcoming appearances. On Monday, October 5, they were actually scheduled to attend signing at the Pinktober Hard Rock Cafe in New York City. Moreover, the band would also scrap their performance on CBS' "The Early Show" Tuesday morning, October 6.
Following the announcement of his illness, Brian has, through the band's official site, released an apology video. In the clip, the 34-year-old singer stated he feels sorry for not being able to meet the fans though he would love to do it. He, furthermore, explained that his task now is to avoid the virus from infecting another person.
Brian Littrell has been diagnosed with swine flu after Backstreet Boys returned to the United States from Tokyo, Japan. Fortunately, the other members,
Nick Carter, Howie Dorough, and A.J. McLean, did not show any symptoms, according to a doctor. However, as a preventative measure, the doctor has prescribed Tamiflu to the threesome and their touring party.
