Though he is currently famous and has lots of fans, Zac Efron says his popularity is 'not a real thing' as he cannot enjoy and celebrate it.
"I try not to look at all of it," states
Zac Efron when talking about his current fame. "You can't enjoy or celebrate it; it's not a real thing. The face on the lunchbox and s*** - you can't share that with your friends," the 21-year-old actor continues telling the November edition of Nylon magazine.
Zac Efron achieved sudden raise of fame after starring as Troy Bolton on TV movie "High School Musical" in 2006. He can next be seen portraying Richard Samuels on drama flick "
Me and Orson Welles". Commenting on his upcoming movie, Zac says, "It's the first time I've ever watched a movie [that I'm in] and in the end I'm like, 'OK! I didn't check my watch once!' "
Still in the same interview, the movie star shares about improving his singing skill, saying "I was constantly singing." Zac explains further to , "I would hear things on the radio and just be able to spit them out instantly, with perfect memorization and tone. It wasn't like I took pride in it; there was no effort. My parents were like 'Shut up. Please stop singing. It's annoying.' "
