The Harvard Lampoon's 'Nightlight', a parody novel based on 'Twilight', will center on Belle Goose who falls in love with Edwart Mullen, a 'super-hot computer nerd with zero interest in girls.'
Scholars at Harvard University are going to publish a parody novel to lampoon
Kristen Stewart's vampire drama movie "
Twilight". The novel, entitled "Nightlight", will be released as a paperback original by Random House's Vintage Books on November 3, seventeen days before the second installment of the vampire drama movie series, "
The Twilight Saga's New Moon", is scheduled to be released in the U.S. theaters.
According to EW, the novel is going to be about a "pale and klutzy" girl named Belle Goose, who moves to Switchblade, Oregon. She finally meets Edwart Mullen, a "super-hot computer nerd with zero interest in girls." Later, the vampire-obsessed Belle is certain that Edwart is one of the undead after witnessing events she considers otherworldly.
Commenting on the not-yet-released novel, a Vintage press release says, " 'Funny' might get you a blog post these days." The Vintage release then adds, "But it's the Lampoon-level of satire that makes 'Nightlight' worth every pseudo-bloodsucking, angst-ridden page."
" 'Nightlight' stakes at the heart of what makes 'Twilight' tick ... or, really, cuts to the core of it," The Vintage release explains further. "Brooding and hilarious, let 'Nightlight' be your guide through the 'Twilight' fandom that has eclipsed the mind of every teenager you have ever met."
