Replacing David Beckham, Cristiano Ronaldo will be seen stripping down for the next Georgio Armani's campaign as he has been named as the new spokesmodel for the famous clothing line.
There will be no more half-naked pictures of
David Beckham wearing Georgio Armani's underwear. After stripping down for the clothing line's campaigns in the last four seasons, the former Real Madrid's midfielder is replaced with
Cristiano Ronaldo, who has just joined the Spain's soccer team in summer this year.
On Friday, October 9, Milan-based Giorgio Armani SpA has announced that Cristiano, who is also the captain of Portugal's national team, will model underwear and jeans in a new worldwide advertising campaign. His pictures in various Armani's clothes can be seen starting from the spring of 2010.
Meanwhile, David Beckham, who had been Armani's spokesman since January 2008, is currently developing his own Beckham-branded men's underwear line. Previously, it was reported that his wife
Victoria Adams, who has appeared as a model on Armani's billboards since January 2009, will not renew her contract with the Italian fashion company as she allegedly wants to focus on her various fashion and beauty ventures.
