'I'm not the lead in the second film,' says Robert Pattinson when confirming that Taylor Lautner will appear in more scenes than himself on 'The Twilight Saga's New Moon'.
It is confirmed that fans will not be able to watch a lot of
Robert Pattinson scenes on highly anticipated vampire drama movie "
The Twilight Saga's New Moon". Speaking in a recent interview with DailyTelegraph, the British actor said, "I'm not the lead in the second film."
"Taylor [Lautner] is. I appear in Bella's dreams," Pattinson said of his scenes with on-screen lover
Kristen Stewart. "So I'm in it but the focus is not on me. I just have significant moments at the beginning and the end. So I'm more of a supporting role in this one which is why I feel so free."
Still in the same interview, the depicter of vampire Edward Cullen on "
Twilight" film franchise also commented on his status as a sex symbol. "I don't take any of it seriously. It's just a job and while it's a job I love, girls scream out for Edward, not Robert. I still can't get a date," he was quoted as saying.
Robert Pattinson's film "The Twilight Saga's New Moon" will center on Bella Swan who faces separation from Edward Cullen. Later, she begins to build a closer friendship with werewolf Jacob Black, the character portrayed by
Taylor Lautner. Directed by Chris Weitz, the flick is scheduled to be released in U.S. theaters on November 20.
