Hayden Panettiere Says Kissing Girl in 'Heroes' Is 'Very Exciting'

Playing cheerleader Claire Bennet in "Heroes", Hayden Panettiere has just filmed a girl-on-girl kissing scene with Madeline Zima, who portrays her college roommate named Gretchen. In a recent interview with In Touch Weekly, the 20-year-old beauty has just dished on her lesbian smooching scene in the sci-fi series.

"It's very exciting!" she said at the 6th Annual Hollywood Style Awards in L.A. on Sunday, October 11. "When you are young, you experiment and you have fun. It truly is a person that she just falls in love with, because she fulfills her and she is her best friend and confidante."

Previously, Hayden has claimed it was her idea to have a lesbian storyline in the hit NBC show, telling Daily Star "I kinda threw it out there." She then added, "They [the writing team] put you in relationships and I was like, 'Can I just be with a girl or something...? Let's do that.' So they took it and ran with it. She's a great girl ... and we have a blast."

Hayden Panettiere and Madeline Zima's same-sex kissing scene is included in the 5th episode of "Heroes" season 4, which has been aired on Monday, October 12. Beside Hayden and Madeline, Milo Ventimiglia, who plays Peter Petrelli, and Zachary Quinto, who plays Sylar, are also among the cast ensemble for the TV series.
