Following their involvement in 'Twilight' and 'The Twilight Saga's New Moon' soundtracks, Muse wants to be featured in theme songs from 'The Twilight Saga's Eclipse'.
After giving contributions to "
Twilight" and "
The Twilight Saga's New Moon",
Muse has expressed their willingness to be featured in the third installment of the vampire drama film series, "
The Twilight Saga's Eclipse". Speaking to MTV News, the alternative rock band's drummer Dominic Howard says, "It's great to have the feeling of being a new band again in so many people's eyes or minds ... we might even do something for the third one."
Howard, moreover, claims he along with his bandmates, Matthew Bellamy and Christopher Wolstenholme, have worked together with David Slade, the helmer of "Eclipse", saying "[Slade is] kind of a friend of ours 'cause he directed about three or four of our videos for the second album, and he's a really great video director." Howard later continues, "I know he did that really great kind of sick horror [film '
30 Days of Night'] which was a bit of a vampire/zombie vibe, wasn't it? So I think he's a great director, and he's quite a funny character as well. So, yeah, we might do something for him as well."
Muse has contributed "Supermassive Black Hole" to the soundtrack to 2008 movie "Twilight". Then, the remix of their tune, entitled "I Belong to You", is included in "The Twilight Saga's New Moon" soundtrack, which has been scheduled to be made available in the U.S. on October 16. Beside working on the theme songs from the two movies, the band has released their latest studio album, "The Resistance", on September 15.
