Becoming a famous movie star, Robert Pattinson admits he has hired some personal bodyguards in order to keep his hysterical fans at bay.
It is no longer a secret that
Robert Pattinson has lots of female fans who always try to get close to him. Recently, the British hottie admitted that he had hired his own security team to help him escaping from his fans. "I have all these security men who, whenever I'm going out of the building, I'm carried to places," the depicter of vampire Edward Cullen on "
Twilight" movie series told a Scottish newspaper.
Back in June, Pattinson was hit by a taxi in front of the Strand Bookstore on Broadway and 12th Street in New York City, where the shooting of "
Remember Me" took place. At that time, the 23-year-old movie star wanted to avoid his hysterical female fans, so he rushed across the road and a taxi soon grazed him. Fortunately, he soon returned to the set of the Allen Coulter-directed flick with no sign of injury.
In related news, Robert Pattinson has taken home Best Male Fantasy Actor prize during 2009 Scream Awards on Saturday, October 17. Also winning gongs at the annual awards show were
Kristen Stewart, who received Best Female Fantasy Actor prize, and
Taylor Lautner, who grabbed award in Breakout Male Performance category. The threesome's vampire drama flick "Twilight", in the meantime, was honored with Best Fantasy Movie prize.
