Beyonce Knowles has postponed her gig in Malaysia that is planned for Sunday, October 25, claiming the decision has nothing to do with external reasons.
Beyonce Knowles' fans in Malaysia have to wait much longer to see their idol performs in their country. After informing that she has planned a concert in the Muslim-majority country on Sunday, October 25, the R&B singer has postponed the gig. About the new date for the gig, it will be announced shortly.
"The postponement is solely the decision of the Artiste and has nothing to do with other external reasons. The Organisers sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused," Organisers Marctensia Sdn Bhd stated in an official statement. For those who have bought the tickets, they can get refunds from October 26 to November 14. However, the tickets will still be valid for the new concert date.
Two years ago, Beyonce Knowles scrapped her planned gig in Malaysia following Muslim protests of her sexy image and clothing, citing scheduling conflict as the reason for the cancellation. After she announced in September this year that she has planned another concert in the Asian country, several Muslim organizations have voiced their disagreement over the upcoming gig due to the same issue.
