Though Avril Lavigne has just filed for divorce from him last week, Deryck Whibley seems to have moved on from his broken marriage. On Monday night, October 19, he has been caught getting cozy with Hanna Beth Merjos, whom TMZ calls his new girlfriend, at ink emporium Tattoo Mania in West Hollywood.
At the tattoo studio, Deryck and Hanna, who did not realize that they were videotaped, were seen cuddling for several times. Moreover, the model/designer was spotted kissing the Sum 41's vocalist on the lips. When they were about to leave the tattoo studio, the two seemed quite uncomfortable when they were followed by paparazzi as they soon entered the tattoo parlor again. Later, the pair left the spot separately as the singer rushed into a taxi alone.
Before dating Hanna Beth Merjos, Deryck Whibley was married to Avril Lavigne on July 15, 2006. Two years later, they were reported having some problems in their marriage though they kept denying the split news. However, on September 17, 2009, the songstress announced that she has separated from her husband of three years. Later, on October 9, she finally filed her divorce petition in Los Angeles Superior Court, citing "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the split.
