Rihanna Set to Perform at 2009 American Music Awards

It has just been announced that Rihanna is among the headliners of upcoming 2009 American Music Awards. According to Rap-Up.com, the Barbados-born songstress will perform during the event, which will be kicked off on Sunday, November 22, a day before her fourth studio album, "Rated R", is going to be released on Super Monday.

In the past, Rihanna has performed twice during the annual awards show. Beside taking the stage to rock to her songs, the Chris Brown's ex-girlfriend has also won three prizes, including Favorite Soul/R&B Female Artist and Favorite Pop/Rock Female Artist, Rap-Up.com reports.

As for the 37th Annual American Music Awards, it has been scheduled to be broadcast live on ABC from Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles at 8:00 P.M. EST/PST. Among the performers of the show will be Jay-Z, Alicia Keys, Jennifer Lopez, Black Eyed Peas, and Taylor Swift.
