It has just been announced that Katie Holmes will get involved in the production of Galt Niederhoffer-directed movie "The Romantics". The mother of one daughter has been booked to star as Laura, the character which was initially set to be portrayed by Liv Tyler.
On the film, Laura will serve as the maid of honor of the bride Lila, the role played by "True Blood" actress Anna Paquin. Laura and Lila are best friends who both have a past with the groom, who is portrayed by Stacy Ferguson's husband Josh Duhamel.
According to Variety, the film is scheduled to be shot later this week in New York. Among famous celebrities who land roles on the flick are Malin Akerman, Elijah Wood, Adam Brody, and Jeremy Strong. Plum Pictures along with Suzanne Todd, Jennifer Todd, Taylor Kephart, and Michael Benaroya plan to release the movie in 2010.
