The first trailer for 'Prince of Persia: Sands of Time', which is narrated by Gemma Arterton's Tamina, gives fans a glimpse of Jake Gyllenhaal as Dastan in action.
Walt Disney Pictures has unraveled the first official trailer for
Jake Gyllenhaal's upcoming flick "
Prince of Persia: Sands of Time". The clip was first outed by IGN, but it was later put forth by MySpace.
The footage is narrated by Tamina, a feisty and exotic princess who is portrayed by
Gemma Arterton. It, moreover, gives a look at Gyllenhaal as Persian prince Dastan in action as well as offers glimpses of the magical dagger and what it is capable of.
"Prince of Persia: Sands of Time" will revolve around Dastan, a street urchin in 6th century Persia who after showing valor in battle, is adopted by the king as his heir. As the fate of the world is in jeopardy, he must join forces with Tamina to prevent a villainous nobleman from possessing the Sands of Time, a gift from the gods that can reverse time and allow its possessor to rule the world. Helmed by Mike Newell, the flick is planned to be released in U.S. theaters on May 28, 2010.
