It has been confirmed that on October 30, Oksana Grigorieva and Mel Gibson welcomed their first child together.
The first child of
Mel Gibson, 53, and Oksana Grigorieva, 39, has been confirmed. Gibson's girlfriend, Oksana, gave birth to a baby girl named Lucia. His rep, Alan Nierob, said, "Oksana Grigorieva and Mel Gibson welcomed the arrival of baby girl named Lucia on Friday, Oct. 30, at an undisclosed hospital in Los Angeles. No further details are available at this time."
Lucia is Gibson's eighth child and Grigorieva's second child. Gibson has six children with his former wife Robyn Moore who filed for divorce last April and Grigorieva has a 12 years old son, Alexander, with the actor, Timothy Dalton.
The couple was first photographed together on set of Mel Gibson's movie "
Edge of Darkness". A short time later to
Jay Leno, the host of "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno", Gibson confirmed that he and Grigorieva were expecting a baby. He said, "This is true. We are going to have a child. I could not be happier about that."
During an interview with CNN in August, concerning about whether she and Gibson have plan to marry, Grigorieva said, "We haven't really talked about it."
