'I went to sleep as Rihanna and woke up as Britney Spears,' says Rihanna when describing lots of public attention given to herself after being beaten by Chris Brown.
After speaking to Diane Sawyer about the assault done by her ex-boyfriend

Rihanna shares her feeling on the media attention following the incident. In an interview with Glamour magazine's December issue, she admits she really got annoyed when the paparazzi followed her to gain information about the incident.
"I went to sleep as Rihanna and woke up as
Britney Spears," the Barbados-born songstress reveals. "That was the level of media chaos that happened the next day ... The positive thing that has come out of my situation is that people can learn from that. I want to give as much insight as I can to young women, because I feel like I represent a voice that really isn't heard."
In the same interview, the 21-year-old beauty also comments on the leak of a picture that exposes her injured face after being beaten by Brown. "It was humiliating; that is not a photo you would show to anybody. I felt completely taken advantage of. I felt like people were making it into a fun topic on the Internet, and it's my life. I was disappointed, especially when I found out the photo was [supposedly leaked by] two women," she recalls.
Following the assault, Rihanna admits she has felt some changes on herself as a woman, stating "I'm stronger, wiser and more aware." She explains further to , "You don't realize how much your decisions affect people you don't even know, like fans."
