Adam Lambert finally speaks up about his split from gay partner Drake LaBry. Speaking to Us Magazine during the Los Angeles premiere of "2012 (2009)" on Tuesday, November 3, the runner-up of "American Idol" season 8, claimed he feels "cool" being unattached.
"I will date on tour," Lambert said. Though he is not together anymore with Drake, the 27-year-old singer still considers the interior designer his "very good friend" following their mutual decision to call off their relationship.
"I don't really feel like there were any mistakes made," Lambert testified. "I feel like things evolved. Sometimes you're on the same page with somebody, and sometimes you have to get off that page and on to another one."
Report that Adam Lambert split from Drake LaBry first emerged on Sunday, November 1, during when a source told Us Magazine, "The relationship just ran its course." The source, moreover, cited Adam's hectic schedule as the reason for the split.
"Adam is crazy busy right now getting the album done and squeezing in rehearsals," the source said of his major-label debut "For Your Entertainment" that will be made available in the U.S. on November 23. "They both felt this moment is too important for Adam to focus on anything else but getting this album out and having it be a huge hit."
