Taylor Swift really knows how to make fun on
Kanye West's 2009 MTV Video Music Awards rant. Promoting the November 7 episode of "Saturday Night Live", in which she is going to serve as a host as well as performer, the songstress has spoofed the R&B singer in a new promo video for the show.
At the beginning of the clip, Taylor and the show's cast member Bill Hader are seen standing in what looks like "30 Rock" corridor. While the young singer says, "Hey, I'm Taylor Swift, and I'll be the host and musical guest this week on 'SNL'," the actor is talking on his cell phone. As she completes her line, Bill gets off the phone and tells Taylor, "Whoops, Kanye West just called. He thinks Beyonce [Knowles] should host instead. Funny joke, right?"
Taylor looks annoyed as she rolls her eyes and whispers to herself, "Wow." Realizing his statement has unexpectedly made the country music singer feel uncomfortable, Bill awkwardly says, "Good times," before walking off the set. At the end of the video, the two are seen sharing laughs on their skit.
Taylor Swift is set to appear in this week episode of "Saturday Night Live". On November 2, she took to her Twitter page to share about her preparation for the NBC's hit show, writing "Starting the 'SNL' process. I kinda feel like I might have a heart attack or pass out in the pitch meeting. I'm that excited." Moreover, in a recent interview with MTV News, the "Fearless" hitmaker has promised that she will go all-out in the show, stating "I want to go completely, 100 percent in."
