Jive Records has announced on Wednesday, November 4 that the release date for Chris Brown's latest studio album "Graffiti" has been pushed up by one week. The record will be made available for purchase in U.S. stores on December 8 instead of December 15.
"Graffiti" will mark the first studio album that is released by Chris after he pleaded guilty in June to felony assault for beating his ex-girlfriend Rihanna on February 8. A music video for the lead single off the record, "I Can Transform Ya", has hit the web in October. Then, the second track, "Crawl", was also debuted in the same month. Moreover, Brown has, through his Twitter page, unveiled the official cover for the album on Monday, November 2.
In related news, Chris Brown has opened up about Rihanna altercation in an interview with MTV News' correspondent Sway J. Calloway. "My thoughts [when I look back on it now] is like, 'Why did it happen?' Like, 'What was I thinking? What is wrong with you?' That's what I'm thinking with myself. That's what my thoughts are, basically, now," the 20-year-old singer testifued.
"It's like, 'How do we get past it? How do you, Chris' - talking to myself - 'how do you go from point A to point B? How do you learn from your mistakes, turn it into a positive and help other people with the situation, and at the end of the day become the person that you want to be?' " Chris continued. The full interview is scheduled to be broadcast during "Chris Brown: The Interview" on MTV Friday, November 6 at 6:00 P.M.
