Beyonce Knowles leads the pack of 2009 MTV Europe Music Awards' winners with three prizes, Best Female, Best Song, and Best Video.
The complete list of winners from 2009 MTV Europe Music Awards has been announced.
Beyonce Knowles leads the pack with three prizes. Beside receiving Best Female award, the 28-year-old beauty has also grabbed a gong for Best Song category, being awarded to her single "Halo", which comes from her 2008 studio album "I Am...Sasha Fierce". Additionally, she also took home Best Video gong for the clip of "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)" that is taken from the same record.
Beyonce's husband
Jay-Z, in the meantime, won an award for Best Urban category. Then, singing sensation
Lady GaGa only grabbed a prize at the annual event, being awarded with Best New Act gong. Moreover, famous rock band
Linkin Park, got Best World Stage Performance gong.
2009 MTV Europe Music Awards was kicked off at the O2 Arena in Berlin, Germany on Thursday, November 5. Among the headliners at the event, which was hosted by
Katy Perry, were Beyonce Knowles,
Shakira, Jay-Z,
Tokio Hotel, and
U2.
