Lady GaGa has just talked about her upcoming appearance of "Gossip Girl". In a recent interview with MTV News, she dished on her part in the TV series. "I am the narrator behind what is going on with the characters and make the song part of the moment," she stated.
GaGa, who called her appearance in the CW hit show a "crazy performance-art piece," additionally described what she has done during the filming. "We used these ladders, and I'm falling off ladders. Ladders are kind of a monster symbol about bad luck," she explained. "And I have this 35-foot-long dress on and these X's, very gothic-inspired. It was great. They let me do whatever the hell I wanted. It was amazing."
During the interview, GaGa admitted that she actually does not like performing in TV series "because they kind of come in out of nowhere, and everyone's, like, really into the story, and then all of a sudden somebody breaks into song." However, her sister, who is a huge fan of the Blake Lively's show, convinced her to take the opportunity. Later, GaGa credited the drama series, saying "It's a great show."
After signing on for one episode appearance in "Gossip Girl", GaGa then met the filmmakers to discuss about her performance. "I really sat down with the writers," she claimed. "I was like, 'Look, I want to do this, and the reason I want to do this is because I am trying to say something that is not mainstream in a mainstream capacity. So, if I can say it on your show, that would be, like, a real coup d'etat for me as a performance artist.'"
Lady GaGa's cameo appearance in "Gossip Girl" can be seen in the November 16 episode of the show. Recently, she was pictured on the set of the TV series along with the cast members, Leighton Meester and Penn Badgley. In the image, the singing sensation was seen applying thick make-up and donning a red dress.
