In the music video for 'Live Like We're Dying', Kris Allen is seen singing the song while playing several musical instruments in the middle of a desert.

Kris Allen's new single "Live Like We're Dying" has been premiered. Debuted on Friday, November 6, the clip features the singer serenading the tune on stage that is set in the middle of a desert. Moreover, the winner of "American Idol" season 8 is filmed playing various kinds of musical instruments, including guitar and piano.
Talking to PopEater about the making of the music video, Kris stated, "It was cool because we actually shot it in the desert in L.A. in the middle of nowhere in this junkyard and we had this set." He then explained, "The idea behind it is that I plug in the clock and I'm pulling the big cord through the junkyard and through all these other things and then I plug in the clock and it starts counting down to zero and there's performance stuff in there."
"In the end when it hits zero, it's kind of like the song, it's like we only have so much time so we gotta do what we want to do," Kris additionally informed. Asked if he had fun during the shooting process, the Arkansas guy told , "It was my first video, so I was really trying to have a great time."
Kris Allen first debuted "Live Like We're Dying" in September at New York radio station Z100. The song is taken from his self-titled studio album, "Kris Allen", which will be dropped in U.S. stores on November 17. "[The song] was actually one that we had listened to really early on, and we kind of just fell in love with it. Everyone did," the singer previously said on the track.
