After divorcing from his former wife, actress Kim Basinger whom he married for nine years, Alec Baldwin says that he is now ready to marry again.
, divorced in 2002 after his nine years of marriage with
Kim Basinger, told Entertainment Weekly that he would like to marry again and thinks about giving marriage a second chance. However, during his different interview with ABC's Diane Sawyer on September, 51-year-old Baldwin admitted that the divorce was hard for him.
The winner of 2009 Emmy Awards for Outstanding Lead Actor in Comedy Series through his role in "30 Rock", recalled, "I don't mean to glib. But the title really is perfect. It is complicated. I had a pretty tough divorce myself." He continued, "So sometime I sit there and I go, 'Well, should I have worked it out? Maybe I should have tried harder'."
Baldwin added, "People say, 'It's also what you teach your children about their love lives. That's a big thing for me, to teach my daughter: No risk, no reward. I want her to realize that it's a roll of the dice. Not everybody gets so lucky, where they have a family and a marriage forever and ever." He personally said that he believes in marriage, saying, "I'd love to get married again. I have to find a really rich woman so I can stay home and read books all day."
Alec Baldwin is playing in the upcoming movie called "
It's Complicated". Baldwin plays with
Meryl Streep, and his mate in hosting 2010 Oscars,
Steve Martin. This comedy movie is scheduled to appear in U.S. theaters on December 25.
