Julianne Hough and Chuck Wicks Call It Quits

The 'Dancing with the Stars' alumni are said calling off their romance because both of them 'needed some time apart.'

Rumor has it, Julianne Hough has decided to call off her romance with Chuck Wicks. According to a source who tells People, the twosome split because they "needed some time apart." The source explains further, "This was mutual." Unfortunately, as for the writing time, Hough and Wicks have yet to give any comment on the matter.

Despite the report, the "Dancing with the Stars" alumni are still expected to make an appearance at 2009 Country Music Awards that will be kicked off on Wednesday, November 11. During the event, Wicks will be covering the red carpet for Entertainment Tonight, while Hough is going to serve as one of the presenters, People reports.

Julianne Hough and country music singer Chuck Wicks got to know each other while touring with Brad Paisley. Hough and Wicks also partnered in "Dancing with the Stars" season 8, which was kicked off in March 2008.

Then, in December the same year, the 21-year-old beauty stated that she "definitely" wanted to walk down the aisle with Wicks someday. "The minute we met it was perfect," she said. "The first date we had we both had that feeling like we were going to fall in love with each other."
