Ahead of the release of the full music video, a sneak peek at how the Barbadian singer dramatizes her first single off album 'Rated R' has made its rounds.
The official music video of Rihanna's "Russian Roulette" won't come out until Friday, November 13, but a sneak preview has come out for viewing pleasure. This nearly 30-second sneak peek at the music video is shown at a German TV show called "TV Total" and shares glimpses of the singer in a number of situations, including the one time she thrusts a gun forward to a man sitting in front of her.
"Russian Roulette" is the first single off Rihanna's fourth studio album "Rated R". About the song, she recently shared how it came to her. "Well, actually Ne-Yo gave me the first song we did on the album," she explained. "It's called 'Stupid in Love' [which we worked on early on], and 'Russian Roulette' came at the end." She added, "And the song was very dark, which matched the base of the album. I love that it was metaphorical."
The music video for the single is expected to make its debut this coming Friday, November 13 on ABC's "20/20". Directed by Anthony Mandler, the video will come out on the same day Rihanna's ex Chris Brown releases his music video for single "Crawl" when he is making an appearance on "The Wendy Williams Show".
"Rated R" itself will be made available for purchase in the U.S. on November 23.
