Through his official blog, the runner up of 'American Idol' season seven reveals the people he's been working with for his next album.
There will be a touch of Daniel Bedingfield in
David Archuleta's follow-up effort to his debut album "David Archuleta". It was the runner-up of "American Idol" season seven himself who broke out the news. In his official blog, he wrote, "Last week I got to work with Matt Squire and Victoria Horn, and this week I've been working with Daniel Bedingfield and Kina Grannis."
Explaining that he has been busy in the studio "writing and recording", he went on to express his excitement working with Bedingfield and the others. "They're all really great and talented people! I can't wait for you all to hear the songs that we've been working on :) heheh," his post continued to read. "But I've been loving the writing sessions!"
In addition to revealing with whom he collaborates for the new set, the 18-year-old also provided some updates on his life. "While I've been working in LA, I've gotten to spend time with my aunt!" he noted, adding, "It's been a lot of fun getting to spend time with her and let her be a part of all of the things I've been doing down here."
Archuleta also gushed about being
Imogen Heap's fans and going to see her show. "All right, so Monday while we were writing, Kina told me she was going to the Imogen Heap concert," he wrote. "I just about passed out! I have been wanting to see Imogen Heap for soooo long and she's one of my favorite musicians! So I got tickets for me and my aunt and we got to go to Imogen's show. It was AMAZING!"
David Archuleta had been reported to have started working on his next effort last summer while he was touring with
Demi Lovato. No working title and release date have been announced just yet for this album. He has on October 13 released first Christmas effort entitled "Christmas from the Heart". The holiday album features YouTube singing sensation
Charice.
