The star of 'Heroes' is attached as co-executive producer for The CW's new ensemble drama about a group of bright students at Harvard Medical School.
Hayden Panettiere will be adding another title to her name, executive producer. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the actress famed for her role as Claire Bennet on NBC's "Heroes" has been attached as co-executive producer for "HMS", The CW's new ensemble drama from "Mystic Pizza" writer Amy Holden Jones.
The TV project revolves around a group of bright students at Harvard Medical School and will mark Panettiere's producing debut. The 20-year-old actress will share the responsibility with Jones, who said that the series will have a younger "Grey's Anatomy" vibe.
"HMS" was originally developed for the WB network during the 2004-05 development season. The script recently caught the attention of the network that has produced such series as "Gossip Girl", "90210" and "The Vampire Diaries".
Before making her big break with "Heroes", Hayden Panettiere was known as Lizzie Spaulding of "Guiding Light" for which she was nominated for YoungStar Award. She went on to star as Sheryl Yoast in "Remember the Titans". She recently was seen taking on the title part in comedy "
I Love You, Beth Cooper".
