Taylor Lautner Tries to Keep Normalcy Amidst Popularity

Admitting that sometimes his fans scared him, the Jacob Black of 'The Twilight Saga's New Moon' reveals what is really important for him despite the hype around him.

Taylor Lautner has had a hordes of fans ever since he bulked up to keep his Jacob Black role in "The Twilight Saga's New Moon", but the teen actor is not letting the hysteria around him pulling him away from the normal life. In a recent interview with The Boston Globe, he said, "It's important to maintain as much normalcy as possible."

The co-star of Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson further elaborated, "Staying true to yourself and spending time with the people you did before, your family and friends." Additionally, the actor did admit that keeping the important stuff is hard. "But sometimes it's hard and you definitely have to make adjustments," he shared. "Absolutely."

Lautner who will be seen starring opposite Taylor Swift in "Valentine's Day" also talked about navigating the real world with his fans hounding his every move. "It all depends where you choose to go. Movie theaters and malls aren't the best places to go. It is [scary]," he said. "But it's great to know you have all those fans and all that support behind you."

"It may [frighten you] at first, but it's their way of expressing their passion for you and the series," the 17-year-old went on explaining what he thought on his fans' determination. "We're definitely thankful to have them behind us. That's our driving force."

As for how truthful "New Moon" will be, he opened up about the character development, "We donâ��t really want much say. We're just trying to live off the books. So it's not like we want to change the characters at all. The fans are passionate about the book and all they want is those words on the pages brought up on the screen for them to watch. We want to stay as close to the books as possible."

"The Twilight Saga's New Moon" follows Bella when she is left abruptly by Edward. Being unguarded from outside threat and devastated following his departure, Bella is comforted by her growing friendship with Jacob. The movie is due to arrive in theaters across United States this Friday, November 20.
