Nick Jonas is going solo with the name of Nick Jonas and The Administration, and a preview to his first single entitled "Who I Am" has leaked out. While it is only around 30-second long, the preview manages to share what kind of tone the youngest member of the Jonas Brothers is going with for his act without his brothers.
The 17-year-old is heard in the preview singing part of the lyrics that goes like this, "Who I am/Nothing makes sense, nothing makes sense anymore/nothing is right, nothing is right when you're gone." Words on the street are, this single will be debuted in full on December 3. In addition to the snippet to the single, the cover art for the single has also made its rounds.
In late October, Nick Jonas confirmed the swirling speculation that he has a side project outside Jonas Brothers. Through the band's MySpace, he revealed, "About 6 months ago, the three of us had a 2 week break from touring, and we all decided to go and do something that was on our hearts. ... I decided to go to Nashville, TN to make a side project (Nick Jonas & The Administration) with 4 musicians - guys that I had met and worked with before."
Making notes that he plans to bring out the effort in early 2010, he went on to describe his music. "If I was to describe the sound to someone ... I would say its 'heart & soul'," he stated. "Because the music that I make is from my heart, and the lyrics I write are from my soul." He, in addition, mentioned that he and his brothers, Kevin Jonas and Joe Jonas, "couldn't be more excited to have these amazing opportunities as a group, and as individuals."
