Spending her summer in a small Southern beach town, Miley Cyrus reconnects with her estranged father while at the same time experiences first love.
The first trailer for "The Last Song", a drama movie starring Miley Cyrus, has finally arrived. Debuted at Yahoo! Movies, the sneak peek at the adaptation to Nicholas Sparks' upcoming novel takes a look at what the songstress experiences when she gets shipped off from New York City to a small Southern beach town.
The trailer describes the movie as a story about second chances, first loves and the moments in life that lead people back home. It shares glimpses at how Greg Kinnear's Steve Miller tries to reconnect with his kids, especially with Cyrus' Ronnie, as well as at the growing romance between Ronnie and Liam Hemsworth's Will Blakelee.
"The Last Song" revolves around seventeen-year-old Veronica "Ronnie" Miller. Years after her life was turned upside down when her parents divorced, she is sent by her mother to spend her summer with her estranged father in Tybee Island, Georgia. While she is still angry and alienates him, her father tries to reconnect with her through the only thing they have in common, music.
In addition to Miley Cyrus, Greg Kinnear and Liam Hemsworth, the movie has Kelly Preston portraying Ronnie's mother. Directed by Julie Anne Robinson, the Walt Disney Pictures movie will come out in theaters across the U.S. on April 2, 2010.
