As season 9 of 'DWTS' heats up with the elimination of Joanna Krupa and partner Derek Hough, the two-time winner of dancing competition show confirmed that she won't return for season 10.
Although she had skipped on participating in season 9 of "Dancing with the Stars", two-time winner
Julianne Hough apparently has no immediate plan to be back on dance floor. The aspiring country singer has recently told
Ryan Seacrest that she won't make a return in season 10 of the dancing competition show.
"I'm not [going back] next season," Julianne made the confirmation at Monday night, November 16's "
The Twilight Saga's New Moon" premiere. When pressed further on whether she will make her return on season 11, she said "We're going to cross that bridge when we get to it. ... I love the show and in fact, I'm going to do some rallying for my brother [Derek Hough] right now".
In the interview aired on Tuesday, November 17, the 21-year-old also discussed on her feature project, "
Burlesque", in which she will star opposite Cher and
Christina Aguilera. "It's so awesome," she gushed. "We just shot last week for the first couple days, and basically I'm completely battered and bruised, and it looks like I have rug burn all over my body."
While Julianne Hough stated that she won't return next season, the current season of "Dancing with the Stars" itself has seen the competition heating up as the final four was cut to the final three. On Tuesday night, November 17, it was revealed that model
Joanna Krupa and partner Derek Hough was the latest couple to be eliminated despite their impressive points from the judges.
With the sending home of Joanna, the show is left with
Mya and partner Dmitry Chaplin,
Kelly Osbourne and partner Louis Van Amstel, and Donny Osmond and partner Kym Johnson. All three couples will dance off next Monday, November 30, for the mirrorball trophy and the title of season 9 winner.
