The winner of 'American Idol' season 6 is forced to cancel her scheduled performance during 'Australian Idol' finale on Sunday, November 22 because of acute appendicitis.
was hospitalized because of acute appendicitis. On Thursday, November 19, she took to her Twitter page to give her fans an update about her condition, writing "Feeling a little better but very sore. Thank you so much for your thoughts & prayers. It means so much & it's so powerful."
Soon after that, the winner of "American Idol" season 6 posted a picture that saw her in her room in the hospital. Happily smiling to the camera, she was seen cuddling two dolls. Along with the image, Jordin wrote, "Smiling, resting & takin it easy!"
On the following day, she announced that she had been released from the hospital. "Released from the hospital on the 2 year anniversary of my first album! Im still hurting but it's gonna be a good day," she tweeted. "Dear Appendix, why did you have to cause so much pain? I took you out & I still can't move. I hate you. With love, Jordins body."
Due to the illness, 19-year-old was forced to scrap her scheduled Australian tour on Sunday, November 22. She was initially set to perform "Art of Love" with Guy Sebastian at "Australian Idol" finale which will be kicked off at the Sydney Opera House.
