A preview video for this modern-day take on 'Beauty and the Beast' gives out glimpses of Alex Pettyfer turning into The Beast as well as a look at Vanessa Hudgens.
The first teaser trailer for "Beastly", a romantic drama starring Vanessa Hudgens and Alex Pettyfer, has finally arrived. This promo video comes out courtesy of MySpace. While it is less than thirty-second long, it manages to share a look at the transformation of Pettyfer's Kyle Kingson into The Beast, and a glimpse at Hudgens as Linda Taylor.
A modern take on the classic tale of "Beauty and the Beast", the movie follows Kyle Kingson, a handsome rich kid with a mean streak. His life is turned upside down when a curse, which is placed upon him after he ditches a date, turns him into everything he hates. Now, he is left with the seemingly impossible task of finding true love to break the ugly spell.
Based on Alex Flinn's young-adult novel, "Beastly" is set in Manhattan. "Phoebe in Wonderland" helmer Daniel Barnz takes the role of the film's director, while Mary-Kate Olsen plays Kendra Hilferty, the girl behind Kyle's grotesque transformation. CBS Films will release this movie in theaters across the U.S. on July 30, 2010.
