Penelope Cruz Talks Cameo in 'Sex and the City 2'

Although she is secretive about what her role will be in the sequel to 'Sex and the City', the Spanish actress does confess of sharing screen with Carrie Bradshaw and Mr. Big.

Penelope Cruz has confirmed her cameo appearance in "Sex and the City 2" herself. During a press event for her upcoming musical "Nine", the 35-year-old beauty told MTV News that she will indeed be in the sequel to the 2008's "Sex and the City", but for a short time. "I'm in it for very, very little time," so she shared.

The actress who earned her first Academy Award from "Vicky Cristina Barcelona" went on to uncover that she won't be playing herself. When pressed whether her character will come in between Sarah Jessica Parker's Carrie and Chris Noth's Mr. Big, she said, "It's not like that, [but] the scene is with the two of them."

Back in October, Cruz has been spotted joining the cast and crew of "SATC 2" to film her part as reported by People. The magazine claimed that the "Volver" star was dressed in a sexy backless black dress in a shooting that took place at New York City's Empire Hotel, and was spotted getting "a little too close to Mr. Big".

Penelope Cruz wasn't the only Hollywood star making an appearance in the movie that targets a May 28, 2010 U.S. release. Songstresses Liza Minnelli and Miley Cyrus will also appear as cameos. Cyrus, in particular, will be starring as herself and sharing scene with star Kim Cattrall as the two will be seen in a scene hitting the red carpet in the same outfit.
