Speaking up about his one-year romance with the 'American Idol' alum, the professional hockey player admits, 'There has been only one other girlfriend, really.'
Ottawa Senators player Mike Fisher has admitted that his current lover
Carrie Underwood is his second "serious girlfriend". Speaking in a recent interview with Toronto Sun, the 29-year-old revealed, "There has been only one other girlfriend, really. It lasted a while, but it was a long time ago."
During the interview, Fisher was also asked whether or not he has an immediate plan to propose to the winner of "American Idol" season 4. Answering the question, he only chuckled before saying, "Who are you, Ellen?" as referring to
Ellen DeGeneres who pressed Underwood with similar question during her appearance in "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" last week.
The professional hockey player, moreover, went on to explain that he and the country music songstress want to keep their romance out of media attention. "We're pretty private, and we obviously want to keep it that way," he claimed.
"Keep our relationship and details really private. But at the same time, we're both happy with the way things are," Fisher spoke further. "I'm obviously happy, and it's been a good start so far on the ice, and things are great off the ice."
On Wednesday, November 18, Carrie Underwood sat down with Ellen DeGeneres to speak about her one-year romance with Mike Fisher. At that time, she called the relationship the longest she has ever had.
Additionally, she debunked report of her moving in with him, stating "Call me old-fashioned. He's there. I'm here. We're both doing our thing and it's good." She added, "The next guy I move in with will be my hubby, whoever that is. I'm not saying it's going to be him."
