Timbaland's representative explains that the decision to remove Chris Brown's vocal from song 'The One I Love' off 'Shock Value 2' was a mutual decision.
Report suggesting that
Timbaland has dropped
Chris Brown out of the contributor list for his "Shock Value 2" due to the "drama" surrounding the younger performer isn't true after all. Quick to throw cold water to the rumor sparked by TMZ was Timbaland's representative.
Informing E! News of what really happened behind the scrapping of Brown's vocal from song "The One I Love", the rep explained, "The decision was a mutual decision since both artists were at the time working on their solo projects." The rep further insisted, "Chris is a friend to us."
TMZ earlier reported that Brown has been officially cut out from "The One I Love". It went on to suggest that his axing was caused by the "drama" surrounding him which stemmed from his infamous altercation with
Rihanna back in February. Still, the site did mentioned that Timbaland's manager has insisted the move was taken as a result of "creative decision for both parties".
"The One I Love" is one of the song featured in Timbaland's "Shock Value 2", which reportedly will come out in U.S. stores December 8. The song was originally titled "Maniac", but was changed to "The One" due to Brown's involvement. The track also features another rapper D.O.E..
Meanwhile, Chris Brown has been busy with the promotional effort for his third album, "Graffiti". He is currently hitting the road for a "Fan Appreciation" tour. The tour was kicked off on November 14 and will be wrapped up on December 15. The album itself will be made available for purchase across the country on December 8.
