Just days after making one controversial performance at 2009 American Music Awards on Sunday, November 22, Adam Lambert launched the music video for his first single "For Your Entertainment". Debuted on his official site, the Ray Kay-directed video was shot at the Alexandria earlier this month.

Talking about the video, the "American Idol" alum admitted to MTV that although it has similar styling and choreography as his AMAs performance, "it's not quite as graphic". He also confessed that Kay has tone down the video, saying "There was stuff in the performance of the video that was probably edited out. It was his artistic choice at that point, which I respected. He's a great director."

The video aside, Lambert also addressed one controversial act he pulled on AMAs' stage, extending his middle finger. "Literally, as I did it, I went, 'Oh god, what am I doing?' I was out of body," he recalled. "You know, the finger was to the people that have been criticizing me. The finger was to the people who doubt me. The finger was to the people that were about to censor me. The finger was not to fans or people who support me at all, by any means."

On another Adam Lambert news, it was reported that his performance on "Good Morning America" on Wednesday, November 25, has been canceled. Explaining on the cancellation, a spokesperson for the show said, "Given his controversial American Music Awards performance, we were concerned about airing a similar concert so early in the morning."

The 27-year-old singer himself has positively responded to the cancellation. He told Ryan Seacrest, "Obviously I respect their decision, they gotta do what they gotta do. It's too bad, I think there were a lot of fans who were excited to come see me. They probably had a lot of pressure coming at them from certain people who weren't happy about it. I respect their decision - I don't necessarily agree with it, but they need to do what they need to do."
