Zac Efron Gets Addicted to Stage Fright

The 22-year-old actor still can not overcome his anxiety while facing the camera on set but admits that he's enjoying that.
told MTV News that he gets hooked by the nervy feeling which occasionally appears before he goes in front of the camera. "I definitely get stage fright," he revealed at the red carpet premiere of his movie "" on November 23. "That's part of the fun. That's what makes it interesting."

The star of "High School Musical" series moreover said, "It's sort of addicting, that feeling." The 22-year-old actor added, "You know you're alive" admitting that although he gets jittery, he relishes the feeling he feels when tackling his roles.

Zac's co-star in the "Orson Welles", also confessed that she also experiences stage fright. At the same gala, she gushed, "I get stage fright all the time. I did 'Pygmalion' [on Broadway] right before I shot this movie, which is really funny because I kind of got out of the habit of shooting on film and felt a little disoriented and vulnerable suddenly, and the camera seemed strange and alien."

"It's risky stuff, no matter how experienced you are," the Kate Brewster of "" continued. "If you're daring to do something fresh and alive, you're very capable of falling on your face."

Meanwhile, "Orson Welles" director Richard Linklater, stated he is calmer than his two stars on movie set. He laughed saying, "Someone called me a very polite slave driver. I'm making everybody work, work, work. Every now and then as the leader, the head coach, the CEO, you have to raise your voice, step up and ruffle a few feathers."

Zac Efron portrays Richard Samuels in "Me and Orson Welles" which is based on Robert Kaplow's novel. As Samuels, he portrays a teenager actor who becomes attracted to a career-driven production assistant after being hired to play in Orson Welles' production of "Julius Caesar". He stars opposite Claire Danes who plays Sonja Jones and Christian McKay who takes on the role of Welles.
