The star of reality show 'The Hills' shares a peek at how the cover of her debut album will be like, describing it as a tribute to the '80s.
It's no secret that
Heidi Montag is trying to make a break on the music industry, and she has recently shared a sneak peek at the '80s cover of her upcoming debut album "Superficial". In a picture released by People, the star of "The Hills" is seen in a form-fitting one-piece as she leans to a wall covered in tapes.
Talking about the cover art, the 23-year-old said that it is a tribute to the '80s. She gushed, "This cover is a shout out to the '80s." The wife of fellow reality star Spencer Pratt added, "It makes you remember when you just had to run out to the record store and get your favorite album. You dreamt of those tapes."
Explaining more on the idea for the cover was the album's production and art director Liz Ciganovich.
"It reminded me of Olivia Newton John's Let's Get Physical in the '80s," she said. "I thought, 'Let's do a shot that says '80s - lets pay homage to the mix tape!' The hunt was on. I believe I purchased every mixed tape in Los Angeles!"
Heidi Montag's first recording album is due to come out in the U.S. on January 12, 2010. The title track has been made available for download on on Tuesday, November 24. Heidi herself has sung another song titled "Body Language" during the Miss Universe 2009 pageant in the Bahamas on August 23.
