The 'Umbrella' hitmaker is allegedly being paid half a million dollar to perform on New Year's Eve in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
Rihanna will be paid $500,000 for one night show in Abu Dhabi on New Year's Eve, The New York Post's Page Six reported. A source told the paper, "She was supposed to perform back in May, but she canceled in the aftermath of the assault. This is a make-up date."
Although Rihanna's spokeswoman Amanda Silverman didn't give any comment about the bonanza fee, organizers Flash Entertainment confirmed the singer's recruitment for the concert will take place in the Emirates Palace Hotel. Tickets for the gig have been made starting on November 24.
Rihanna will not be the only singer hired for a New Year concert on December 31.
Jay-Z is reportedly booked to collaborate with
Alicia Keys for a concert in Manhattan, while
Green Day allegedly will rock Time Square, and
Lady GaGa is said to have been tapped to sing at Miami Beach.
On other Rihanna news, the 21-year-old was recently interviewed by Fuse. During the interview, the
Chris Brown's ex-girlfriend revealed that her new album "Rated R" was actually meant to be called "Such A F**king Lady". However, she explained "a couple of stores, a couple of major outlets didn't allow that", leading to her changing the naming of the set.
