The remaining members of the Irish band blast Georgi Dochev who claims he was in bed with Stephen's gay partner Andrew Cowles at the time of the singer's death on October 10.
Ronan Keating, Mikey Graham, Keith Duffy, and Shane Lynch have reacted to gay model Georgi Dochev's sex stories about the last hours of their band mate in Boyzone, Stephen Gately. "The lads are horrified," a source close to the band began blasting the Bulgarian model at a tribute concert for Stephen in London on Sunday, November 29.
"It was a day for celebrating Step's life - not dwelling on the night of his death," the source went on detailing. The source, moreover, told that Boyzone's manager Louis Walsh was angry upon knowing Georgi sold the stories about the 33-year-old singer. "Everyone is just sick that this man is profiting from Stephen's death," the source added.
On November 29, Georgi came up with news that he was in bed with Stephen's gay partner Andrew Cowles while the singer lay dead in another room. "At 12 I got up. I went into the other room where Andy had been sleeping. I was naked and Andy said, 'You look cold, why don't you get into bed?' We had sex for about an hour. We couldn't have known Stephen was already dead," the 25-year-old model revealed.
An hour later, they started to notice that something went wrong with Stephen. "Andy touched him and said gently, 'baby, baby'. But there was no reaction. Then he picked him up and we noticed there was a yellowish liquid around his mouth and on the sofa where he had been lying," Georgi detailed. "But it was impossible to give him first aid. His body was stiff and his jaw was rigid."
Stephen Gately was found dead in his holiday apartment in Majorca, Spain on October 10. Three days after he was pronounced dead, Spanish police said he passed away because of natural causes and not from consuming alcohol and drugs. An autopsy report revealed Stephen suffered a pulmonary oedema or a build up of fluid in the lungs, which results in respiratory failure, at the time of his death.
A close-for-public tribute concert for Stephen has taken place at London's West End on Sunday, November 29. His parents as well as lots of musicians attended the event, which was reportedly organized by Andrew Cowles. Ronan Keating, Mikey Graham, Keith Duffy, and Shane Lynch performed a musical tribute for their band mate, while
Ian McKellen read poetry.
