Met at the backstage of the Dizzy Feet Foundation gala, the actress who had performed on 'So You Think You Can Dance' in July gives her seal of approval to the idea of her husband being a guest judge.
Judges Mary Murphy and Adam Shankman are not the only people who love the idea of
Tom Cruise being a guest judge on FOX's "So You Think You Can Dance", his wife
Katie Holmes also supported the notion. The revelation was made by the Rachel Dawes of "
Batman Begins" herself at the Dizzy Feet Foundation gala on Sunday, November 29.
When asked by Marc Malkin of E! Online at the backstage of the event held at the Kodak Theater in Hollywood, the 30-year-old actress gushed, "He would be great. He really would." It is still unclear whether she had the chance to talk with Murphy at the gala about Cruise's possible role. But, Murphy has stated at the red carpet that she will try to do so, promising "If I can just slide my way in there, I will."
Back in early October, Mary Murphy has sparked rumor of Tom Cruise being a possible guest judge on "So You Think You Can Dance". Pointing out on the actor's iconic dance move in his 80's dramedy, she said, "He goes way back to Risky Business doing his thing. He was on the hot-tamale train back then! That hot tamale can come by anytime."
New judge Adam Shankman backed up Murphy's idea, saying that the Claus von Stauffenberg of "
Valkyrie" will be "great" as guest judge. Revealing that he would love to see Cruise making an appearance on the show, he added, "Tom loves the show, so I hope so. I happen to love Tom, and Tom loves dancing, so it would be great."
Katie Holmes herself is no stranger to "So You Think You Can Dance". She has made a special appearance on the dancing competition show's 100th episode celebration on July 23 this year. Paying a tribute to Judy Garland, she sang and danced ala Broadway when reprising the legend's "Get Happy" routine.
