Tobey Maguire Not Reluctant to Return in 'Spider-Man 4'
Confirming that he is willing to take part in the new 'Spider-Man' film franchise, the Kirsten Dunst's co-star says he wants to develop his Spider-Man character and his alter ego Peter Parker.
has addressed previous rumor by mentioning that he was unwilling to return to the fourth installment of "" film franchise, "". "It's not that I was reluctant," he said in a recent interview with The Boston Globe.

"For me, it's a big process to decide whether or not to do a role," the father of two children added. "I have to want to wake up in the morning and feel like I can't wait to get to work. I've got to feel okay about leaving my kids for 12 or 13 hours a day for five months. It's a big commitment."

During the interview, the 34-year-old also shared about his willingness to develop his Spider-Man character and his alter ego Peter Parker. "Hopefully I'll be able to evolve the character in a new direction," Maguire said. "He'll still be Peter Parker, but I hope I can move him forward a bit and take him to a place where there will be new challenges for me as an actor."
